DAY 1 (THURSDAY, CAPE TOWN TO OUDTSHOORN )
Depart Cape Town and head east stopping at the viewpoint on the Du Toits Kloof Pass en-route to Worcester. Travel through farmlands arriving in Montagu where a comfort stop is made. Then continue the journey through the scenic countryside to Barrydale where you have a community visit to farm school in area. Then continue on to Ladismith for a lunch stop (optional & for own account). You then drive on to Oudtshoorn, Capital of the Little Karoo and Ostrich capital of South Africa., arriving at your guest house for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 (FRIDAY OUDTSHOORN TO KYNSNA)
After breakfast take a tour of the spectacular limestone caverns of the Cango Caves, one of the worlds great natural wonders. Return to Oudtshoorn for a tour and a light lunch at the Ostrich Farm. Your journey continues over the scenic Outeniqua Pass to George and then onto Knysna for overnight. Known as the oyster box of South Africa, Kynsna is situated on the banks of a beautiful lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route.
DAY 3 (SATURDAY KNYSNA)
After a leisurely breakfast then depart for the Knysna Waterfront. Enjoy a lagoon cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve where you can take a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head to enjoy panoramic views of the town and lagoon, returning for a delectable lunch served under a canopy of milkwood trees. After cruising back to Knysna you have time to explore this charming town set around a natural harbour lagoon, before returning to your hotel for overnight.
DAY 4 (SUNDAY KNYSNA TO ALBERTINA)
After a leisurely breakfast, travel via George and Mossel Bay where you visit the Diaz Museum, Post Tree and have a chance for refreshments (own account). Drive on to Albertinia, a town set against the backdrop of the majestic Langeberg Mountain Range, and continue on to the malaria free private game reserve. You have time to freshen up before boarding an open vehicle for an afternoon game viewing drive including a stop for sundowners. There is an abundance of animal and birdlife to be found and you may be lucky to see some or all of the Big Five. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5 (MONDAY ALBERTINIA – HERMANUS )
Your safari adventure continues with an early morning game drive offering more chances of wildlife viewing. After breakfast at the Lodge take a guided tour of the reptile centre, before, leaving the bush behind. And driving on to to the picturesque Cape Dutch town of Swellendam. This charming town was founded in 1745 and is famous for its youngberries, eclectic architecture and National Parks, as well as outdoor activities. Travel on to the seaside resort of Hermanus, known as the heart of the whale route, offering the some of the best land based whale watching (Jul -Oct). Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Hermanus.
DAY 6 (TUESDAY HERMANUS – CAPE TOWN)
After a leisurely breakfast depart Hermanus and travel to Franschhoek via Villiersdorp. Enjoy a stop for lunch (for own account) and a wine tasting (included) in the Franschhoek area.
Afterwards your journey continues to Cape Town, arriving in the late afternoon where the tour ends. Guests may disembark, on request, at Cape Town International Airport.
